OVA athletes are expected to show up prepared, compete with effort, respond to coaching, communicate proactively, support teammates, lead by example, and respect the game.

Commitment Is Not Part-Time
Athletes are expected to attend practices, strength sessions, tournaments, team meetings, and team activities.
Volleyball is a team sport.

Athletes are expected to arrive early, be mentally engaged, communicate positively, maintain focus, compete consistently, and eliminate distractions.
Practice is where development happens.

Compete Like a Team
Athletes are expected to stay with the team, support teammates, maintain composure, respect officials, and represent OVA professionally.
Tournaments are not vacations.
They are opportunities to compete, grow, and lead.

Coachability is one of the most valuable traits an athlete can develop.
OVA athletes must accept feedback, respond with effort, control emotions, eliminate excuses, and stay solution focused.
Growth happens when athletes are willing to be coached.
