Support the Process
Volleyball development includes adversity, failure, accountability, competition, tough conversations, and growth through discomfort.
Parents are expected to support their athlete through the process — not remove them from it.

Athlete First Communication
We strongly encourage athletes to communicate directly with coaches first.
This builds confidence, ownership, leadership, and accountability.
Parents should avoid emotional or game-day conversations with coaches.
Constructive communication always leads to better outcomes.

Let Coaches Coach
Parents are expected to support positively, avoid coaching from the sidelines, respect officials, respect opponents, and represent OVA professionally.
Athletes perform best when they can compete freely without conflicting voices.

OVA teams are built around commitment.
Practices, strength sessions, tournaments, travel, and team expectations are all part of the commitment athletes and families make when joining the academy.
We believe consistency creates development.
